Value Added Services

  • Quality Control Facilities:
    SAPL facilitates Quality Control (QC) facilities for international retailers by providing necessary infrastructure and human resources. Basic QC and Firewall QC are conducted at SAPL by various Freight Forwarders (FFWs) on behalf of the importers. This includes checking of labels, quality of stitching, measurements of garments, detection of needles/metals by detectors.
  • Barcode Scanning:
    SAPL conducts barcode scanning of cartons and uploads data into FFWs database for further use by FFWs and importers.
  • Palletization and Shrink Wrapping:
    Palletization of loose cartons is now becoming popular with the importers.  SAPL has specialized forklift and shrink wrapping machine to undertake this assignment. Use of slip sheeting and specialized forklifts are used for easy loading into containers and unloading at destination.
  • Garments on Hangers (GOH):
    SAPL takes pride in being the pioneer in starting this service in Bangladesh. Custom made rails for receiving and storing of Garments on Hangers have been locally designed, which are mobile and are used for handling this special cargo. A dust free environment is provided for this very special cargo. A pool of skilled and experienced workers is maintained.
  • Project Cargo:
    SAPL takes pride in its capability to handle Project Cargo. Project Cargo is usually of very large dimensions and heavy in weight. These involve rigs and other accessories involved in offshore gas/oil exploration.
  • Reefer Business:
    Apart from handling garments item, SAPL ensures more than 60 reefer plugs for reefer business through 24 hour electricity supply.
  • Cargo Sorting:
    Sorting of cargo based on customer requirement could be performed at our facilities, e.g., sorting of carton on customer PO level.
  • Re-packing:
    We assist our customer with packing or re-packing of cargo based on specified requirements, e.g., re-packing cargo from damage box into a new box.
